We’re very happy to offer this workshop series led by Karen Snowberg. She is a long-time faculty member of Whitewater Early Music Festival where she is the enthusiastic leader of the Saturday night “loud band”. The workshop will meet for five sessions. Bring your recorders or compatible instruments and a music stand. Music will be provided.

We have tentative plans for a performance on November 11. Time and location are TBD.

About Karen Snowberg
Karen holds a BA degree in instrumental music from Luther College, Decorah, Iowa and an MFA degree in Early Music Performance from Sarah Lawrence College. She did additional studies at the Schola Cantorum in Basel, Switzerland. She is an active recorder teacher and church musician (specializing in recorder and early brass instruments) and has performed with many distinguished groups in the greater New York City area. She was a member of the teaching faculty of the Westchester Recorder Guild and the Recorder Society of Connecticut for over 35 years before retiring to McFarland, WI. When Karen’s not doing music, you’ll probably find her involved in some kind of Swedish cultural activity or genealogy.
