Tech note - non-programmers beware! The audio player widget interface is done in Javascript and uses a Flash MP3 player I found, although it seems that the original website at keonix.com is not operational any more. I looked at a bunch of players and this one was pretty easy to use. I hid the Flash interface, which I thought was unattractive. I've recently become enamored with the jquery library, which I used here in a small way. This thing makes DOM programming a pleasure. Great!

The recordings were made with the Samson Zoom H2 Handy Recorder. This is a great little device and the price has come down a good bit in recent months so it is now very affordable. You can record many hours of CD quality audio on a 4 Gb SD card. It runs on 2 AA batteries. Pretty amazing.
